Our safety procedures are as follows: Every tattoo begins with new inks and needles. We cover all our counters and tables with dental lapclothes and hospital drape sheets. We than cover all our instruments with plastic and setup disposeable ink holders. We always use nonlatex gloves and change them often. When we are finished bandageing the tattoo and providing aftercare instructions. We dispose of all of the one time use inks and needles. We than put all of the remaining instraments in a soaking tray. After soaking all instuments are cleaned and scrubbed. Than they are cleaned in a dental ultrasonic cleaner with a powdered organisol. After being rinsed they are bagged in ADA self sealing sterilization pouches. They are then placed in an autoclave sterilizer and ran for the recomended pre heat time of 15 minutes , then are run for a full cycle ofs 30 mnutes. All instriments and biohazard containers are kept away from the reach of clients behind our counters or in employee only areas. Our sink is operated on a foot pedal so we never have to touch the faucet with our hands. Before and after all procedures we clean all our counters , chairs ,tables ect. With either madicide or cavicide. Our floors and restrooms are kept clean and mopped. This is how we provide a safe and sterile environment for our clients.
